Clinical Training Coordinator

The Hill Group, a well-established firm specializing in health and human services projects focusing on diabetes treatment and prevention, seeks a full-time Clinical Training Coordinator to join our team. This team member can work out of our Albuquerque, NM office, Washington, DC office, or remotely. Qualified candidates must have experience interacting with clinicians and public health communication, preferably regarding diabetes. Strong preference for candidates with experience serving American Indian/Alaska Native communities.

 

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

 

 

Training/Educating (60%) –

 

Implements and administers clinical training program to provide Continuing Medical Education/Continuing Education (CME/CE) via live and recorded webinars on diabetes topics.

-Coordinates 2-3 live webinars/month. Tasks include:

-Completing CE/CME/CPEU application and reporting requirements in collaboration with the IHS Clinical Support Center, Oral Health Program, and Nutrition and Dietetics Training Program.

-Communicating with presenters about expectations and required paperwork.

-Marketing via email and program website.

-Setting up virtual training room.

-Creating certificates of attendance.

-Preparing participant evaluations via online survey tool and reviewing completed evaluations.

-Hosting and facilitating webinars.

-Compiling attendee data.

-Preparing recordings of live webinars for posting on program website.

-Facilitates Clinical Training Team meetings to plan future webinars, including identifying topics, and presenters.

-Networks with IHS and other clinical subject matter experts to identify and connect with potential presenters.

Conducts and/or assists in the development and delivery of intensive diabetes training opportunities, including online courses and in-person conferences.

Prepares Annual Clinical Training Report.

 

 

Materials Development (30%) – 

 

Works with Materials Development team to create new and update existing diabetes education materials.

Assists with refining the process for developing health education materials to ensure clear communication and information design practices.
Assist with the development of evidence-based clinical resources and tools, such as outlines and materials for diabetes education classes.

Works with clinical and public health experts to develop clinician and patient education materials.

 

 

Health Promotion (10%) –

 

Coordinates monthly email newsletter highlighting new and existing resources on program websites.

Assist with developing content to highlight new and existing resources on program websites.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS –

 

Must be highly organized, possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to multi-task and work well in a team setting.

Possess a RN or bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, strong preference for a master’s degree such as an MPH.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate information in a professional manner.

Experience with public health promotion, health literacy, and communication in wellness related areas such as weight management, tobacco cessation, stress management, nutrition, exercise, chronic condition management, and behavior change.

Demonstrated experience cultural competency/cultural responsiveness especially regarding American Indian/Alaska Native communities. Knowledge of social, cultural, and economic factors of individuals, families, tribal communities, and organizations, as they apply to public health care in diabetes.

Knowledge of current educational concepts and training techniques for groups having diverse backgrounds.

Knowledgeable of how to certify educational activities for continuation education credits.

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and Excel, and web conferencing platforms, preferably Adobe Connect and/or WebEx.
